Skeleton Coast National Park
Pirate stories were born here! Thick sea fog, blustery winds, and swirling currents still wreck ships along this wicked coastline. Inland are lodges and camps amongst the undulating dunes, where a surprising array of wildlife forge their existence. Jackals, brown hyenas, desert-adapted elephants, rhino, and an occasional lion roam the lonely dunes and riverbanks.
